Blogging in Education

Blogging is beneficial to education. It benefits education by helping peers communicate with each other.. It is helpful to schools by letting everyone come together and speak their opinion without being judge. Using the internet to post up something gets the thoughts flowing and induces people to speak their mind and possibly inform others on certain events. Using blogging can help students and  teachers as well because it builds online collaboration and the teachers can reinforce the ideas they want their students to know. Blogging in schools helps them by bringing everyone together, peers looking out for each other, and everyone using their minds .

Blogging benefits education by helping peers communicate with each other. Peers come together to talk about anything that’s on their mind and get to let other people see them voicing their own opinion. It’s a great way to see kids talking about a matter and really getting involved with each others thoughts. Kids love to blog also. One time there was a flood in Maine and over 200 peers went on to blog and talk about it. Blogging for kids, isn’t always just in school, they even like to blog on their own free time to see what others are saying. As you can see blogging benefits education by helping everyone stay connected and share their thoughts with each other.

Blogging is helpful to schools by letting everyone come together and speak their own opinion.  People come together on one site and can talk for days on end about anything. Blogging is a site where you can comment on someone else’s thought and it’s becoming the new trend because people are used to just looking at a regular website and not being able to communicate. Blogs bring students together and show’s each other they do care about other peoples opinions with agreeing with them or disagreeing with them. In a first grade classroom kids have said that blogs are fun because it helps them write and sound out the letters. This shows us that blogs have helped education by helping students improve their grammar and communication.

Blogs not only help students, but teachers as well because it builds online collaboration. Teachers use blogs to reinforce ideas they want their students to know. With that being said, the students find it rather enjoyable being able to use technology to do school work. It shows teachers the enthusiasm students have to do work and the motivation they have to complete the work rather then writing in their notebooks in school. In the classroom their are students who are asked to reflect on a question in class and the students all replied, “How about we blog about that?” Seeing that students love to blog about the things their teachers are talking about in the classroom really gets them involved with the lesson. Blogs show teachers that the students are fully understanding the subject and that they are ready to move onto something else.

In general, blogging is very beneficial to education in many ways. One, it helps students communicate with each other and share their feelings with everyone. Two, it lets students voice their own opinion on anything at all and show each other that they are listening to what they are saying. Lastly, it builds online collaboration with teachers and students and reassures the teachers that students are aware of what they are teaching. Blogging is a big benefit to schools, education, students, teachers, and parents.
