Michael Perham sailing around the world

The youngest boy has just sailed across all the waters there is in the world. It's always been his dream to sail across the world and he feels accomplished that he's actually had the chance to live his dream. He said it was a very lonely voyage, especially on the day of his voyage. "It takes a lot of strength to do this because you have to have mental and physical strength", said Mike Perham. Take a look at this website to see his amazing 9 month journey http://www.totallymoney.com/sailmike/ . The physical strength in this journey is being able to fix the boat when it gets damaged, especially being the only person on the boat. The mental strength is being able to coop with the loneliness for long periods of time. Read this blog to read the interview between Mike Perham and Gray Robertson.

  1. This is an amazing feat for someone so young! I wish I could travel around the world, even alone! He is really an inspiration to any teen or kid out there with such a broad dream. In all honesty, I don't think I would be able to pull this off. A 4-month expedition turned into a 9-month sail. I would be absolutely devastated. In the interview, he mentioned how overwhelmed he felt when he touched down in Portsmouth. It was pretty amazing just to read what he had to say about it. Now he's applying for his driving test, let's just hope that he's a good driver as he is a sailor.
